Yes, 100% free. There is no catch. SHIMAVERSE Tech Ambassadors is a free community-driven tech education programme. You never pay for access to lessons, missions, or community features. We believe quality tech education should be accessible to everyone, regardless of financial background.
What skills will I learn?
You'll learn practical web development skills including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — the core technologies that power every website. The curriculum is project-based, meaning you build real things from your very first lesson. As you advance, you'll also learn responsive design, problem-solving, and how to deploy projects online.
Who is this for? Do I need any experience?
SHIMAVERSE is for everyone — students, NYSC corpers, working professionals, parents, and anyone curious about technology. You need absolutely zero experience. Our curriculum starts from the very basics and guides you step by step. If you already know some coding, you can skip ahead to more advanced missions.
How does the learning work?
Learning is structured into interactive missions. Each mission teaches a specific concept, and you practice by writing actual code in our built-in code editor. You see results instantly. As you complete missions, you earn XP (experience points), unlock achievements, and level up your Ambassador rank. It's like a game, but you're building real skills.
How long does it take to see results?
Most ambassadors start building their first websites within the first week. After completing the HTML and CSS modules (roughly 3-4 weeks at a relaxed pace), you'll be able to create professional-looking websites from scratch. Consistency matters more than speed — even 30 minutes a day leads to real progress.
What is the community aspect?
SHIMAVERSE is built around community. You can join study groups, participate in weekly challenges, collaborate on projects with other ambassadors, and get help from more experienced members. We also have leaderboards, achievement badges, and a live activity feed so you can see what your peers are building and learning.
What is SHM and how does it work?
SHM is the platform's reward token that you earn by completing learning missions, daily challenges, and community activities. Think of it as a fun way to track your engagement. You can use SHM to unlock cosmetic items like avatars and boosters, or simply collect it as a record of your learning journey.
Can I invite my friends?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it. When you invite friends to join SHIMAVERSE, they get access to the same free learning resources, and you both benefit from having study partners. Growing the community means more people to learn with, collaborate with, and support each other. You can share your unique referral link after signing up.
